MIT Research Fellow and Noted Information Security Expert Ralph Rodriguez Joins Corvium’s Board

BOSTON, Dec. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Corvium, Inc.’s recent rebranding opportunity gave way to an expanded management team and board designed to further the food safety intelligence leader’s ultimate mission of reducing food risk and improving food quality across the industry. The company’s most recent addition in knowledge and experience is a research scientist and technology expert with a proven record of successfully tracking emerging technologies, identifying trends and developing scalable, fast-growth businesses.

Ralph A. Rodriguez, Research Scientist at Facebook, and co-founder of identity management provider Confirm.io (acquired by Facebook in 2018), joins the Corvium board with 25 years of experience. His success has spanned both early-stage, venture-backed companies and large, publicly held firms, contributing in roles that range from Founder to Chief Executive Officer, Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Since 2001, Rodriguez has been focused on Identity Management (IAM) with an emphasis on Biometrics, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning and Behavioral Engineering.

Ralph also has the distinction of being the longest-serving Research Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he has pioneered research on artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, mobile, neural science and security technologies. He has also conducted research at the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) department on behavioral biometrics, and he currently holds 16 patents. Rodriguez is a U.S. Army veteran, who served during the Persian Gulf War in 1990.
