Conduent Chooses Raleigh, North Carolina for a Global Technology and Innovation Hub

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Dec. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — “The Triangle” in North Carolina is home to one of the largest technology research and development parks in the world, and it’s about to get even bigger. In an announcement by Gov. Roy Cooper today, Conduent Incorporated, (NYSE: CNDT) the world’s largest provider of diversified business services, will open an all-new global technology and innovation hub in the greater Raleigh area, bringing 200 new full-time jobs to the renowned Research Triangle.

Every business service Conduent provides – from robotic process automation for financial organizations, to patient-centric data analytics for health providers – is centered on innovation. The new global technology and innovation hub in North Carolina will employ research scientists, software developers, researchers and engineers with expertise in the application of data and process analytics, IT security, operations, program management, lab functions, legal, corporate finance and human resources. As trusted advisors delivering breakthrough ideas and solutions, the technology and innovation hub staff will help Conduent clients capitalize on changes in technology, business and society.    

Projects driven by the global technology and innovation hub will use cutting-edge data modeling and machine learning capabilities, including artificial intelligence for customer problems; combine quantitative and qualitative methods to redesign processes and enable continuous process optimization; and develop real-world systems to integrate; and understand and interpret sensors, video and imagery. Customer-led innovation, mobile experience optimization, application of blockchain technology and consultative innovation assessment and insight will also use expertise from the Raleigh hub.

Conduent already has strong ties to North Carolina, with more than 5,500 jobs held within the state – more than any other in the U.S. – with locations in Raleigh, Cary, Charlotte, Durham, Morrisville and Henderson. The new global technology and innovation hub will be located in an office park in Morrisville, N.C., within Research Triangle and is slated to open in March, with hiring starting in 2018.

Additionally, Conduent will receive state-sponsored job growth and development incentives totaling approximately $2.1 million, including the Job Development Investment Grant and North Carolina Community College System’s Customized Training Value incentive. These performance-based programs will help Conduent expand more efficiently, and hire and train its new employees more strategically.

Conduent has technology and innovation hubs in India, with lab facilities there developing the latest technology in mobile, IoT, human computer interaction, machine learning, text and multimedia analytics. The India labs mission is to drive transformational innovations for Conduent, Conduent clients and the world in areas of transportation, healthcare, public safety solutions, human resources, process automation and operational excellence.
