LEESBURG, Va., July 12, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Kollabio Inc. announces its recent acceptance into the U.S Small Business Administration’s Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program. This program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities by providing access to federal procurement opportunities.

This announcement of HUBZone certification follows the successful completion of the application process to ensure Kollabio meets the requirements and qualifications for this coveted program. Certifications have a lifespan of one year and all participating small businesses have the opportunity to re-certify as long as they continue to qualify. Each year, SBA aims to award at least 3 percent of federal contract dollars to HUBZone-certified companies. Program participants are eligible to compete for set-aside government contacts where their competition is restricted to only specified contractors. HUBZone’s primary goal is job creation and increased capital investment in distressed communities. In addition, participants receive a 10 percent price evaluation preference in full and open government contract competitions.
