City of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Fulfills Cloud-first Strategy with OpenGov Partnership

Vestavia Hills’ City Manager and other leaders were on the hunt for a robust solution that would digitize their permitting processes and help launch virtual inspections. The City had been using two different versions of a permitting process platform, which caused a major disconnect. What’s more, the complicated permitting process dissuaded citizens from using it. Leaders found the answer to their problems in OpenGov Citizen Services.

During an inspection, contractors and City staff can review results and photos in real time. Finally, the ability to track performance checks another box on the City’s must-have list. Under the old process, City leaders struggled to monitor performance. Now, they have access to reports that track revenue, application numbers, project costs, and more.
