MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — With workplace automation initiatives accelerating across enterprises worldwide, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, will take to the BoxWorks floor in San Francisco, October 10 to 12 (Booth #37) to showcase its current and future integrations with recent partners, Box, Inc. and mxHero™.

Canon U.S.A., Inc.

Visitors can stop by the Canon booth to see how Canon + Box + mxHero are helping people work smarter by providing them solutions that keep up with the fast-paced, mobile nature of today’s office, including:

Scan to Box: Be productive and work from virtually anywhere by scanning files into Box directly from compatible imageRUNNER ADVANCE multi-function printers (MFPs) or imageFORMULA high-speed document scanners.

Edit, Create, and Publish to Box: Edit, create, and publish PDF documents and print them right from a compatible Canon device, using imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop.

Email to Box: With Canon’s partnership with mxHero, users can manage emails and attachments in Box, leveraging Box’s powerful content management and security features, as well as Canon’s hardware and software.

Additional demos presented by the Canon Information & Imaging Solutions (CIIS) team will explore how artificial intelligence can be leveraged for non-destructive testing and contextual document management. BoxWorks attendees will also have the opportunity to hear Dennis Amorosano, senior vice president & general manager, CIIS, speak to how Canon is automating workflows, and keeping a digital-ready workspace top of mind, during the Box breakout session “Going Paperless, from Vision to Reality.” The session, which is open to the public, will be held on October 11 from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in room 2009-2011.

“Known as the blueprint for the future of work, BoxWorks is a prime opportunity for Canon to showcase the capabilities its recent integration with Box and mxHero affords modern enterprises,” says Toyotsugu Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “The integrated solutions can change the way organizations manage email, paper, and digital information while making it easier to share, access, and collaborate on content.”

Canon’s integration utilizes the unlimited cloud storage, security, and collaboration features of Box with the email management features of mxHero, marrying them to Canon’s hardware, software integrations, and professional services offerings.

The Box platform provides a single, unified workspace with unlimited storage, available on desktop and mobile devices, where users can share core business information easily, both internally and externally. Box also has governance and security features available to help track and control information, such as who has access to certain content and for how long. mxHero, a cloud service for intelligent e-mail management, can then leverage the power of Box by automatically archiving email content and attachments into cloud storage.
