NEW YORK, Dec. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — StockTwits, the largest social platform for investors and traders, announced today the appointment of Brian Norgard, former Chief Product Officer at Tinder, to its Board of Directors.

Brian Norgard

“Brian is widely regarded as one of the best product and company growth experts in consumer technology,” said Ian Rosen, CEO, StockTwits. “His accomplishments at Tinder alone speak for themselves.  We are excited to add his expertise to our already highly accomplished Board as we continue to expand our company and grow into new areas of financial technology and media.”

As Chief Product Officer at Tinder, Norgard led the company to become the top-grossing mobile app worldwide, building $11 billion in market value and spearheading the creation of the company’s most successful features including Tinder Gold, Boost, Super Like and Top Picks. Under Brian’s leadership, Tinder went from pre-revenue to well over $800 million in top line revenue in less than 3 years.

At 25, he became the youngest GM/VP in News Corp after the company acquired Newroo, a machine learning-based artificial intelligence advertising platform. He is also an active investor backing companies such as AngelList, Lyft, SpaceX and Coinmine.

“I am an avid StockTwits user, I check the app everyday to get the pulse of the market,” said Brian Norgard. “Given the way financial services are changing, StockTwits is in a unique position to become a major market force. The StockTwits community is passionate and engaged, and I look forward to helping the team scale the vision.”

Norgard’s appointment brings StockTwits’ board to five members, including Howard Lindzon, Founder/General Partner, Social Leverage; John Frankel, Partner, ff Venture Capital; Robert Peck, Head of Global Internet Investment Banking, Credit Suisse; and Ian Rosen, CEO, StockTwits.
