DARWIN, Australia, Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — ServiceM8, the job management app for trade contractors and home services, has officially launched a range of new features to help its customers better manage their jobs, staff, customers and invoicing. Highlights include an Asset Management module where equipment can be located in Augmented Reality, Siri Shortcuts support for voice-activated job management while on the move, and real-time analysis of job photos using Artificial Intelligence.

ServiceM8 CEO, Mr Kim Ford, sees the launch as a big step toward the next iteration of how field service businesses work: “With ServiceM8 7.0, we’re introducing new ways of working, constantly innovating and applying the latest mobile and cloud technology. Functionality like being able to interact with ServiceM8 using only your voice, or using Augmented Reality to help complete jobs — it demonstrates our determination to keep our customers at the leading edge, and how we see ServiceM8 and field service technology evolving.”

New features and improvements to the job management system include:

  • Asset Management, a new add-on to track the location and service history of client assets, and locate them on site in Augmented Reality through the ServiceM8 camera.
  • Siri Shortcuts Support, providing the ability to ask Siri about job information, perform actions in ServiceM8, or open ServiceM8 to a specific view, such as “Hey Siri, When is my next job?” or “Hey Siri, Take a job photo”.
  • Knowledge, providing a way to capture business knowledge, tips and procedures in the form of videos and articles, and make these resources accessible on the app for field staff to troubleshoot jobs.
  • Apple Pay Support, along with Google Pay, and Microsoft Pay, providing additional options for customers to pay quickly when booking services or viewing invoices online.
  • Customer Scheduling & SMS Booking Links, allowing easier coordination of appointment times by letting clients choose from available booking times online.
  • AI Photo Tagging, with the ServiceM8 camera view analysed by Artificial Intelligence in real time to categorise the subject of the job photo, assisting with job documentation.

All new features are now available and the latest iOS app can be downloaded on the App Store.
