FACE to Present 2024 Excellence Award to U.S. Century Bank Board Director

U.S. Century Bank announced today that Facts About Cuban Exiles (FACE) will present the Excellence Award for Leadership to Aida Levitan, PhD, Board Director and former Chairman of U.S. Century Bank. The FACE Excellence Awards Luncheon will take place on October 10, 2024, at the Rusty Pelican Restaurant in Key Biscayne.

“Aida continues to be an exemplary member of our Board of Directors and served as an outstanding Chairman for six years,” said Luis de la Aguilera, Chairman, President, and CEO of U.S. Century Bank. “She is deserving of this award not only for her business leadership but also because of her significant contributions as a member of civic and cultural boards.”

This event, produced by FACE and presented by FIU Casa Cuba and Murgado Automotive Group, will honor four distinguished Cuban Americans whose outstanding achievements have profoundly enriched and contributed to Miami and U.S. society. The 2024 FACE Excellence Awards and its Chairman, Mario Murgado, Sr., will celebrate four leaders and visionaries who have demonstrated unparalleled dedication, innovation, and impact across a wide range of industries. They are:

• Aida Levitan, Ph.D. Excellence Award for Leadership: Dr. Levitan is Board Director and immediate past Chairman of U.S. Century Bank; President of ArtesMiami; past Chairman of FACE; and former president of the number one U.S. Hispanic ad agency

• Frank del Rio Excellence in Business Award: Former President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Mr. Del Rio is also the Founder of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises

• Jorge Pérez Entrepreneurship Award: Chairman and CEO of The Related Group, Mr. Pérez is a leading philanthropist and the namesake of the Pérez Art Museum Miami, due to his transformative contributions to the arts.

• Sam Verdeja Lifetime Achievement Award: Co-founder of FACE, author, and Senior Executive at Miami Herald Publishing Co., Mr. Verdeja’s legacy in journalism and community advocacy continues to inspire.
