Athens, GA [01.15.23] It is with heavy hearts that all of us at Go Big Injury Law mourn the loss of our colleague and friend, Sophomore Offensive Lineman for the University of Georgia Devin Willock. Devin was involved in a car accident on January 15, 2023, in Athens and passed due to injuries sustained in the crash. We have reached out to local authorities and the matter is still under investigation. Devin was a member of our firm’s inaugural NIL campaign and is the face of our firm’s Go Big Injury Law brand throughout the state of Georgia.

Devin was not only a talented and dedicated athlete but also a kind and beloved member of the community. In every aspect of life Devin was BIG. He was physically big and played big on the football field. His presence and warmth were big and felt by everyone who interacted with him. He had a big smile, an infectious laugh, and a big thirst for life. And he was big in his ambitions about his future and where he was going in life.

“We are devastated by the loss of Devin” said Partner at Go Big Injury Law Roy T. Willey IV “I not only had the pleasure of working with him professionally, but also the privilege of getting to know him personally. Even though Devin was only a sophomore we had discussed his plans after college in detail, and I can say that based on our conversations, his drive, and dedicationto excellence Devin had a bright future ahead. Devastating is too dull a word to describe the feelings we all have knowing that his life of big promise, big enthusiasm and big goodness has been cut short.”

We extend our deepest sympathies to Devin’s family, friends, teammates and fans. We will do everything that we can do to support them during this incredibly difficult time, and we ask that the media respect the privacy of his family and friends as they grieve. However, we understand the importance of getting the facts out about how great of a person the world has lost, and we will make ourselves available for media interviews as appropriate and will continue to provide any updates as they become available.
