Advanced technology to enable seamless personalized voice interactions in complex auditory environments

BOSTON, Dec. 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Yobe Inc., the go-to company for robust voice solutions that meet the human standard, and SoundHound AI, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOUN), a global leader in voice artificial intelligence, will be coming together at CES 2023 to demonstrate advanced voice technology for restaurants.

Restaurant demand for voice AI is at a high, with automation fueling increased order volume and consistent levels of service amid industry challenges like labor shortages and rising inflation. The SoundHound for Restaurants ordering platform allows restaurants of all sizes to integrate voice across channels including phone, drive-thru, kiosks, and apps, while working with a variety of POS systems.

SoundHound also recently announced Dynamic Interaction, a real-time, multimodal interface that incorporates audio, visual, and touch, allowing restaurant customers to place orders, including customizations and edits, instantly and naturally.

At CES 2023, Yobe will be demonstrating how this platform integrates with its own edge-based software, to add an extra layer of robustness in service-oriented environments. Often, these environments are noisy, fast-paced, and require high degrees of customization as users change or update their orders. Yobe’s unique technology effectively extracts and identifies specific human voices to solve for unwanted sounds including crosstalk and adds a layer of personalization that can enhance user engagement and functionality.

“We’re excited to be working with Yobe to show how our next generation voice technology can function seamlessly, even in busy environments with competing noise,” said Mike Lauricella, Head of Channel Partnerships at SoundHound. “Voice AI is fast becoming an important customer interface for businesses and brands, and complementary technology like this helps make those interactions more natural.”

“We know there is untapped power and potential in robust voice solutions, particularly in customer service settings like restaurants. They can be a force multiplier for driving customer engagement and revenue,” echoed Ken Sutton, CEO of Yobe. “We have developed a solution that empowers humans to interact with machines that need to operate in the real world through voice technology, in a seamless, natural way. We’re setting the human standard for voice, and unlocking the value of these solutions in commercial settings for the first time.”

The technologies will be demonstrated in Las Vegas at CES, between January 5-8, at booth N. 60255, located in Eureka Park, across from the startup stage.
