Washington, DC–
Today at the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care’s (NASL’s) 33rd Annual Meeting, the NASL Board announced, “NASL is entering a new era under a new moniker – Advion.”
The organization’s rebranding efforts began more than a year ago with focus groups and discussions with NASL members, the Board and key stakeholders. A consistent theme emerged from these discussions – the association’s name does not capture the diversity of the work with which NASL members are involved. Member discussion also identified NASL’s role as an advocate for its members and the sector overall as a core strength of the association.
Board President Mike Capstick explained, “The name Advion represents a fusion of our core strengths – as advocates for our members and those they serve and as champions for the work of our members in an increasingly diverse long term and post-acute care sector and services for senior living.”
Over the past 33 years, the NASL name has earned significant brand loyalty thanks to the value the organization delivers for its members and the solid reputation that NASL has earned in the policy arena. Chief lobbyist and Executive Vice President Cynthia Morton commented, “We have no intention of giving up our hard-earned reputation on Capitol Hill and across many Administrations. For that reason, we have adopted a tag line for Advion – The next generation of NASL. This new name better reflects the expansion of our members into services for the senior care market beyond traditional long term care settings”
Advion will debut a new website later this year that will feature the new name and logo. Additional details will be released as part of an iterative rebranding process.
The announcement before the NASL 33rd Annual Meeting was met with a standing ovation by the NASL
– now Advion – members.
