Water Tower Research (WTR) Adds Rex Henderson as Senior Research Analyst

July 20, 2022, St. Petersburg, FL – Water Tower Research LLC (www.watertowerresearch.com), a leading, digitally-focused investor engagement and stakeholder communication firm, is pleased to announce that Rex Henderson has joined the firm as Senior Research Analyst.

Water Tower Research was founded to provide “Research for the Other 99%^™”, with a mission to improve the communication channels between companies and their stakeholders that have been impaired by dramatic structural changes to the conventional equity research and investor engagement models.

Commenting on the addition of Rex Henderson, Charlie Phippen, Chief Operating Officer, stated, “Our platform has grown significantly over the past year. Rex was a sell-side analyst at Raymond James & Associates, where he initiated coverage as lead analyst on a group of automotive retailers, including AutoNation, CarMax, Lithia Motors, and Penske Automotive. He was an associate analyst with Budd Bugatch on several hardline retailers, including Cost Plus World Market, Williams Sonoma Inc., and Bed Bath & Beyond. He came to Raymond James as a Research Associate in Budd’s consumer group, assisting in coverage of retailers Home Depot, Lowe’s, and suppliers to those retailers, such as Masco Corp. Rex earned a CFA designation in 2002, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida in 1996. Prior to his career in the financial industry, Rex was a newspaper reporter and editor for 20 years. From 1987 to 1999, Rex was a reporter for The Tampa Tribune. In the last five years of his tenure at The Tampa Tribune, he was principal beat writer for banking, financial markets, investing, and personal finance.
