A Town of Rochester, MA, supporter of digital permitting worked diligently—and ultimately succeeded—to bring a solution to the municipality through a partnership with OpenGov, the leader in modern cloud software for our nation’s cities.

This picturesque Town, located along the western border of Plymouth County, has a rich history that began with its incorporation in 1686. Although the Town is smaller—its population is less than 6,000—leaders recognized the impact OpenGov Citizen Services could bring.

Using an intuitive online customer portal, residents will be able to apply and pay for such items as building permits, pet licenses, business licenses, and more. This new process will reduce calls and walk-in traffic as well as the need to use traditional mail to request a license, as has been the practice.
