NOCAP Sports, a comprehensive athlete development platform for the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) era, announced today a strategic partnership with Stash, the pioneering fintech company empowering everyday Americans to invest in themselves and build wealth. Through its popular banking, investing, and education subscription, Stash provides everyday Americans—and now our country’s college athletes—with services, tools, education, and advice to build healthy financial habits that will last a lifetime.

With new NIL rules in place, college athletes have the opportunity to profit off of their name, image, and likeness, and many are faced with new realities when it comes to finances. Beginning in April, the athletes who enroll will be able to join the Stash Influencer Program, enabling them to earn income from their NIL by sharing their investment journey on Stash. Come fall, those athletes will also be connected to Stash101’s financial literacy education platform, encouraging them to think like entrepreneurs guided by Stash 101’s financial mentorship.

“With the responsibility of providing NCAA athletes with an engine to commercialize their NIL rights, comes the responsibility to also provide them with the tools and knowledge to manage their finances in ways that benefit them during and beyond their athletic careers,” said Nicholas Lord, NOCAP’s CEO. “We are extremely grateful that Stash is partnering with us, bringing their comprehensive financial literacy program and investment tools to all of our athletes.”

Courtesy of Stash101, Stash’s immersive financial literacy education for students and children, participating NOCAP athletes will gain critical information to help support and make financial decisions. The athletes will also gain access to the Stash platform, where they can sign up and begin investing their own funds, either directly into a selection of more than 3,000 stocks and ETFs, or in Stash’s Smart Portfolio, a personalized, set-it-and-forget it investment account with crypto exposure.

“Stash is committed to empowering the next generation of young adults to invest in their futures early, and this resonates with me, as I was a college athlete myself,” said Cedric Davis, Senior Director of Strategy and Development at Stash. “Our partnership with NOCAP encourages every NCAA athlete on NOCAP’s platform to build a strong financial foundation to invest in themselves during their NIL journey and into the future.”
