CHARLESTON, S.C. – Restaurant owners knew that opening restaurants in any capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic could spread the disease more than they wanted, but they had to keep their doors open to keep their business open. A study completed in November of 2020 found that in a restaurant space, 6 feet apart for social distancing wasn’t enough. Two diners at a restaurant contracted the COVID-19 virus from another diner at the same restaurant, but sat 21 feet away – with no direct or indirect contact. Researchers say the restaurant’s ceiling air conditioner was what caused the spread. Restaurants need a way to lower the impact of the spread of viruses, bacteria and mold during times like this, and even in a regular day to day life.

Paerosol’s MAG, or micro-aerosol generator is the perfect solution for this. Founded by Steve Gareleck and Scott Alderson with technology developed by the United States Department of Energy, the micro-aerosol generator used with Paerolyte’s liquid disinfectant will create an even spread of disinfectant throughout any closed space, killing up to 99.9999% of viruses, bacteria, and mold1. Paerosol’s micro-aerosol generator comes with proprietary technology to create a dry spray. When the liquid disinfectant is dispersed throughout a restaurant, it is completely dry to the touch on all types of surfaces – whether it be the rug under the soda machine or on the hard tile under the table.

“The MAG [micro-aerosol generator] unit is great for restaurants – it’ll disinfect all the eating areas, along with the kitchen to make sure the spread of diseases is minimal while prepping the food.”

About Paerosol – Paerosol is a platform which kills air and surface-borne mold, bacteria, and viruses at up to a 99.9999% rate of effectiveness. The Paerosol technology originated in the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (“PNNL”) which is managed and operated by Battelle Memorial Institute. As part of the Federal Lab Commission’s (“FLC”) efforts to commercialize federally owned technology within the private sector, Paerosol LLC (founded by Steve Gareleck, CEO and Scott Alderson, President) obtained the exclusive licensing rights to this disinfecting technology directly from Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Paerosol’s proprietary Dry Spray technology allows for Paerolyte’s liquid disinfectant to get into all corners and crevices of any space it’s placed in. Paerosol has been successfully tested by US & Foreign Government Agencies. The United States Defense Threat Reduction Agency successfully tested Paerosol against bio-agents including simulates of Anthrax and Ebola, common civilian and hospitals pathogens such as E Coli and Salmonella, antibiotic-resistant microbes, and viruses including H1N1 (swine flu), H5N1 (bird flu), MRSA, and the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19)2.
