These were ECG results, questionnaires and saliva samples that tested for stress hormones: cortisol and cortisone. Singing and watching others sing reduced stress. The level of stress hormones among the audience dropped after the performance. People also noted a decrease in fear, tension, confusion and sadness, as well as an increase in feelings of relaxation.
