CYR3CON Unveils FUS1ON Solution to Identify Systemic Cyber Threats

TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — The artificial intelligence powered cybersecurity startup Cyber Reconnaissance, Inc. (d.b.a. CYR3CON) has recently unveiled a new technology called FUS1ON that allows cybersecurity analysts to identify and quantify systemic threats (patent pending). The technology is designed for multi-tenant environments where security personnel have the need to quantify threats that can affect multiple subsidiaries.

“In other, non-security contexts, systemic threats depend on variables that are easy to understand,” stated CYR3CON Chief Technology Officer, Jana Shakarian. “For example, common climate characteristics can be used to predict natural disasters. However, with cyberattacks, the common element is associated with the threat – so that’s more challenging to understand and quantify.”

FUS1ON works by aggregating vulnerability data across all subsidiaries and aligning it with various threats as identified from malicious hacker forums that the company mines from the Internet. The threats are then classified by the number of companies they affect and quantified using CYR3CON algorithms that predict the likelihood of the attacker taking action.

“We’re seeing market demand for understanding and quantifying systemic threats,” stated CYR3CON President Greg McNulty. “For example, in the cyber insurance industry, understanding systemic threats to a portfolio can greatly impact its overall value. Meanwhile, cybersecurity service providers have a need to understand systemic threats that can affect a great number of their customers simultaneously. We are also seeing need in large financials and government organizations that have complex and established corporate structures as well.”

To be viable, FUS1ON had to be designed for ease-of-use. The system is served using a very simple web-based user interface that outputs aggregate results in spreadsheet format. “It was really important for us to make this simple and rapidly usable by an analyst,” stated Shakarian. “We have found customers of our other products would often need to present results to decision-makers to justify security resource expenditure. We knew it was important to support this in FUS1ON as well.”

Technical details on FUS1ON can be found on a dedicated website: https://www.cyr3con.ai/fus1on. FUS1ON is a SaaS-based offering sold as an annual subscription. Pricing varies by the number and size of subsidiaries being analyzed.
