NEW YORK, Jan. 03, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Daivergent, a New York-based technology startup that allows companies to fulfill their data-labeling needs at scale, has closed $950,000 in its seed round. The Daivergent marketplace platform enables individuals on the autism spectrum to enter the remote workforce for the first time by matching them with companies who submit work requests.

Investors included Western Technology Investment, Kapor Capital, NY Angels, HBS Alumni Angels NY, Esther Dyson, Brian Jacobs, Ron Lascoe, Marc Weill, and Fiona & Ozgen Dogan.

This investment positions Daivergent to expand their team, increase product offerings, and engage new industries. As a recent graduate of the highly selective Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator and with a recent spotlight in the Wall Street Journal, the one-year-old company is capitalizing on its momentum heading into the new year.

“Anyone who’s tried to source high-quality training data knows how painful it can be. We offer a valuable talent pipeline for companies to engage with workers with the perfect skill set to power their AI & data products,” said Byran Dai, Daivergent’s co-founder and CEO. “And our workforce is empowered by a platform that provides valuable experience and professional development.”

Both Mr. Dai and co-founder Rahul Mahida were motivated to build Daivergent because of family members on the autism spectrum. Daivergent is already serving 15 corporate clients and is now expanding into new business lines across its startup and Fortune 500 customers.
