Press Releases
Nov 14, 2018
NEW YORK, Nov. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — QuisLex, a leading legal services provider, announced today that it has been shortlisted for two awards at the inaugural FT Intelligent Business Forum. The new FT Innovative Lawyers’ ranking, report, and awards will be published on Nov. 15 and highlight effective ways to solve the commercial and legal challenges that affect business operations.
In the Contracting category, QuisLex was nominated along with its client VMware, and leading legal technology providers Apttus and Mitratech. QuisLex worked with VMware in implementing and managing an end-to-end solution for efficient contracting, including an automation portal for self-service by VMware’s stakeholders and a streamlined review of nonstandard language through a combination of cost-efficient resources and artificial intelligence, improving greatly the ease of doing business with VMware and supporting the ability to complete agreements anytime, anywhere on any device.
In the Managing Legal Costs category, QuisLex was nominated along with its client Deutsche Bank. QuisLex worked with Deutsche Bank on several projects that resulted in a holistic reduction of legal costs. In one, a sophisticated eDiscovery workflow was created for Deutsche Bank to use from one litigation to the next, bringing best-in-class technology, artificial intelligence tools, and superior workflow management across geographies, time zones, and external law firms and vendors. In another, QuisLex worked with Deutsche Bank using artificial intelligence and subject-knowledge based analytics to provide comprehensive yet substantively detailed insights into legal spend, which allowed Deutsche Bank to achieve significant cost savings and create a framework for continued efficiencies and savings with its legal vendors and law firms.
The related FT Intelligent Business Forum will feature QuisLex COO Sirisha Gummaregula speaking on “Costs, Value and Happy Balance Sheets” during a panel discussion examining how leveraging data and technology can bring down the costs of internal and outside legal spending without impacting the quality of legal services. The panel takes place on Nov. 14 at 3:30 p.m at DocuSign’s headquarters in San Francisco. Gummaregula will be joined on the panel by Connie Brenton, Chief of Staff and Senior Director of Legal Operations, NetApp and Chief Executive Officer, CLOC; Firoz Dattu, Founder and Chair at Advance Law; and Justin Ergler, Director of Alternative Fee Intelligence and Analytics at GSK. The Panel will be moderated by Alastair Morrison, Head of Client Strategy and Board Member at Pinsent Masons.
