Compared with traditional CPU-centric platforms, this GPU platform offers higher performance, reduced rack space requirements, and lower power consumption, in a server package ideal for enterprise-level data analytics.

The innovative dual root complex G4660 server deploys a pair of Intel® Xeon® scalable processors. The motherboard features a set of four PLX PEX8747 PCIe switch chips to provide the connectivity for the 8 GPU card slots. There is additional space next to the 8 GPU cards in the server for a 9th PCIe x16 slot that is ideal for high speed networking or NVMe retimer deployment.

The mechanical design of the G4660 chassis allows expansion cards to fully utilize the 4U enclosure, allowing the G4660 to deploy the widest range of accelerator cards in the industry without requiring a specialized domed lid for the power connectors of active GPU cards. The G4660 also features memory expandable up to 3 TB.
