Engage3, which helps retailers and brands enhance their pricing performance through data science and analytics, today announced the promotion of Dr. Anup Doshi to Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Doshi joined Engage3 in 2014 as a Data Scientist and was promoted to Director of Data Science in less than a year. Two years later, he was promoted to Vice President of Development and Data Science.

Prior to Engage3, Dr. Doshi served as Senior Scientist at Opera Solutions where he built predictive analytics products and solutions, with a focus on unstructured text mining, social media analytics, anomaly detection, and behavior prediction. His responsibilities included algorithm design and implementation, software product management, business development, and client interactions. Before Opera, he was a graduate student researcher at the University of California in San Diego, where he developed and implemented real-time safety systems that inferred driver intentions in intelligent vehicles, based upon computer vision and machine learning algorithms.

Dr. Doshi received an integrated BS and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and his PhD in Electrical Engineering (Signal and Image Processing) from the University of California in San Diego, where he was a Jacobs Fellow and winner of several dissertation awards. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed scientific articles.
