TORONTO, May 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Industrial AI software provider, Uptake, today announced the signing of 11 contracts with equipment dealers around the globe. The team responsible for sales and development of Uptake’s digital solutions for equipment dealers is based in the Toronto area where the company recently celebrated the opening of a new office space, tripling its former footprint.
The growth stems from Uptake’s acquisition of what was formerly Canam Solutions and has since evolved into the company’s bustling dealer business, which has roughly doubled in headcount since its 2016 start. The team builds solutions for equipment dealers around the globe that enable data-driven decision making to better serve customers and drive revenues.
Among the secured deals is HOLT CAT, an authorized Caterpillar heavy equipment and engine dealer for 118 counties across Texas. HOLT sells, services and rents Caterpillar equipment, engines and generators for construction, mining, industrial, petroleum and agricultural applications.
“Performance is better with Uptake’s cloud solution than on-premise and continues to improve with each new release,” said Elaine Hicks, HOLT CAT senior vice president and chief information officer. “With every iteration of testing and remediation, we found ourselves with a better product that’s continually refined.”
Uptake’s end-to-end, intelligent workflow solutions for equipment dealers encompass customer relationship management, sales, equipment solutions and service. The company integrates equipment and customer insights, optimizing the entire dealer value chain. The result:
- Deeper understanding of customers’ needs by collecting and visualizing key information;
- Constant knowledge of the health, location and usage of customers’ fleets and the ability to ensure employees are working in sync by connecting them to a centralized information center;
- Detailed equipment performance knowledge via the ability to aggregate equipment and customer data to analyze past performance patterns.
“The momentum of our equipment dealer business has illustrated the demand for a cloud-based product suite that’s not only standardized across all dealers, but that encompasses the full spectrum of productivity solutions, from CRM to service management,” said Linda Nikkel, senior vice president of Uptake’s dealer business. “Not only does Uptake help dealers with their digital strategies, we arm them to better serve customers with greater speed and more impactful results.”
