After jointly leading the transformation of the company’s engineering strategy and technology stack over the past two years, Robinson and Pultz are assuming the new roles well-positioned to continue defining strategic goals and guiding teams during this new stage of growth. With the transition of 1.4 million lines of code designed to future-proof FlowPlay’s platform recently completed, both executives will be at the core of executing against an aggressive product and growth strategy in 2018.

“Both Craig and Scott have been invaluable members of the leadership team as the company has grown steadily over the past ten years, especially in their individual and collective contributions to our most recent corporate initiative to overhaul our entire platform,” said Derrick Morton, CEO of FlowPlay. “Their dedication to the company and innate understanding of how to build strong communities through games has been paramount to the overarching success of FlowPlay in recent years, and both will continue to play important roles in achieving future product success.”

As CRO of FlowPlay, Robinson will serve in a cross-functional role overseeing the creation and optimization of revenue streams across marketing, engineering, customer service, and more. Notably, he will lead FlowPlay in leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) along with the company’s rich database of gameplay data to better understand and predict player behavior. Prior to the role, Robinson served as Vice President of Mobile Games at FlowPlay and founded three companies. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Washington.

“FlowPlay has a tremendous opportunity right now. We have profitable games with loyal user bases, but we have barely scratched the surface in terms of optimizing the ability to retain and monetize players,” Robinson said. “In this new role, I have the opportunity to partner with the leadership team to drive the transformation of our products, tools, and processes to not only improve monetization of current and future products, but also make the in-game experiences of our players more personalized and engaging.”

As Chief Architect, Pultz will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and designers to manage the front-end technology stack for both FlowPlay’s platform and current suite of games. This includes evolving the programming standards and style, designing new features and outlining best practices in addition to maintaining the platform’s core codebase. Pultz is a self-taught engineer that began his programming journey at nine years old, before launching his career at the age of 16 and starting in the games industry at 18 where he quickly became a lead engineer at Monolith Productions. He recently celebrated his ten-year anniversary with FlowPlay in January 2018.

“Code design and implementation is invaluable to how the magic is captured and brought to life for any successful game – it powers everything from the player interface to the unique features that bring players back,” Pultz said. “While we have several milestones to achieve in the near-term to create a seamless front-end experience, ultimately this role will allow me to focus on the long-term goal of expanding and strengthening our platform to enable the success of our future games.”

These executive appointments come after a strong 2017 for the mid-sized developer and publisher which has grown to employ more than 60, while maintaining its position as one of Washington’s Best Companies to Work For according to the Seattle Business Magazine.
