The eHealth Technologies’ Clinical Advisory Panel is composed of experts from the Transplant, Oncology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Hematology and Medical Information specialties:
John Julian Fung M.D., Ph.D., FACS, FAASLD – Professor of Surgery, Chief, Division of Transplant Surgery, Director, University of Chicago Medicine Transplantation Institute. Dr. Fung has been involved in many aspects of organ transplantation – clinical delivery, donor management, outcome analysis, clinical trials, basic science immunobiology, transplant policy, and transplant ethics for the past 30 years. Dr. Fung has made several contributions to the surgical field of transplant surgery and has over 1,000 published manuscripts.
Travis Osterman, DO – Oncologist at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Osterman serves on the faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and has focused his clinical practice on thoracic malignancies. Dr. Osterman’s research interests include applying medical informatics to cancer treatment and research. Currently Dr. Osterman is attempting to improve lung cancer screening referrals through targeted clinical decision support.
Thomas A. Rocco, M.D. – Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). Dr. Rocco has extensive experience in program development and performance improvement initiatives as the Director of Cardiology programs at three health systems in upstate New York. In addition to serving as Chief of Cardiology at Highland Hospital (URMC) and Chief of Cardiology at Unity Health System, Dr. Rocco has served as Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Rochester General Hospital and Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Park Ridge Hospital.
Amy Freeth, M.D. – Endocrinologist, at Bassett Healthcare and has been practicing clinical endocrinology and conducting endocrinology research since 2003. Dr. Freeth has served as the Medical Director of the Diabetes Management program and Medical Liaison for the Bariatric Surgery program. Dr. Freeth has research interests and publications in the area of bariatric surgery, nutrition and behavior change. Dr. Freeth is also an Assistant Professor at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Susan Blackwell, MHS, PA-C – Hematology Physician Assistant at Duke Cancer Institute and has been an integral part of the Thoracic Oncology Program since 1991.
John McMichael, Ph.D. – Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for the Digestive Disease and Surgery Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. For over 30 years, Dr. McMichael has developed systems and programs that utilize his expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Database Theory. At Cleveland Clinic, Dr. McMichael works closely with clinicians to develop systems and data warehouses with data from the EMR as well as the data derived from text-based notes.
