The 2017 IT/Dev Connections Conference will Host a Hack-a-Thon to Create Enterprise-Level Security Skill for Alexa October 23 – 26 in San Francisco

The Hack-a-Thon community event will show the power of bringing two – sometimes warring – factions of technology together. IT Pros and DevOps working in tandem will be a true example of how a successful business strategy will ultimately deliver on the promise of working together in a competitive landscape with tight deadlines to deploy highly secure code that brings function and value to the Enterprise.

“IT/Dev Connections 2017 is considered one of the best conferences for IT Pros and developers because the content is not overshadowed by a vendor message. Like a James Bond movie, attendees are dropped directly into the action, getting a solid, quality education on relevant topics from the first session to the last. And, each year we amp up what the conferences offers. This year, we’re ecstatic to host the first-ever Hack-a-thon designed to introduce Alexa into the Enterprise in a big way,” said Rod Trent Engagement, Education, and Conference Director for IT/Dev Connections.

In addition to the Hack-a-Thon, IT/Dev Connections will offer more than 200 in-depth sessions across five tracks, teaching developers, DevOps, & IT professionals the skills they need. They include:

Cloud & Data Center – The Cloud & Data Center track provides coverage for the various vendor cloud solutions including AWS, Azure, Google, and others. The content provided in this track will provide attendees with a firm grip on delivering hybrid, private, and public cloud services to  organizations as well as how to manage cross-platform clouds through automation and scripting.

Track Chair: Liam Cleary

Enterprise Management, Mobility, & Security – Most IT professionals are still tasked with implementing, managing, and monitoring on-premises assets while also developing and implementing strategy and deploying services to enable hybrid cloud workloads. This track delivers deep technical knowledge for improving current service levels for management, mobility, and security while also offering real-world knowledge for successful strategy development.
Track Chair: Ami Casto
