SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — At a time when cyber-threats are on the rise around the globe, Fujitsu America, Inc. is increasing its already substantial investments in security measures in order to better protect our customers through the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

One key investment in the Americas region is the newly established Enterprise & Cyber Security (ECS) business unit, which recently commenced operations of the Fujitsu Intelligent Security Operations Center (iSOC) in Dallas, Texas. From this central location, the iSOC offers customers a wider range of managed security services than previously available, including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Identity Access Management (IAM), Network Access Control (NAC), Security Incident Response and Forensics, and much more. Furthermore, the iSOC is the delivery point of the new Fujitsu Security Advanced Monitoring and Unified Remediation with Artificial Intelligence (SAMURAI Platform™)*1.

Fujitsu Intelligent Security Operations Center (iSOC) Overview
The iSOC is located in a facility that meets tier III data center requirements and is equipped with a number of failover capabilities to ensure the tools, dashboards, alerts and events used by the skilled security analysts to monitor and analyze customer environments are online around the clock, 365 days a year. Customers can choose from a wide range of services offered from the iSOC to best suit their needs, including:

SIEM Managed Service

  • Fujitsu has established strategic partnerships with leading security vendors to use proactive intelligence that helps mitigate emergent vulnerabilities and threats, making Fujitsu SIEM among the leading security information and event monitoring solutions.

SAMURAI Platform

  • SAMURAI Platform offers a wide range of security services including endpoint protection; data, network, and web security; threat intelligence and more. It integrates the best-of-breed security industry solutions, with an OpenStack(R) exchange layer and Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning and management to bring the same dynamism and evolutionary capability to security incident identification and response.

“Fujitsu considers robust security to one of our core responsibilities as a leading ICT company,” said Jason Bradlee, Head of Security for Americas region, Fujitsu America, Inc. “With the global delivery capabilities of the new iSOC facility and the advanced robust monitoring services provided by the SAMURAI Platform, we have further expanded our security capabilities by integrating AI and other cutting-edge technologies to stay one step ahead of emerging online threats. This is good news for our customers… and a major blow to cyber criminals.”

Fujitsu Enterprise & Cyber Security (ECS) Business Unit Introduction
With over seven million known cyber-attacks a day, the expected cost of cyber-crime to users and organizations is over $100 billion per year. Meanwhile, more and more connected devices are coming online all the time, with an estimated 20 billion by the year 2020 – more devices mean more potential targets.

Against this backdrop, companies are finding it harder to stay on top of security threats. For that reason, Fujitsu is helping customers protect themselves from a growing list of potential vulnerabilities with the establishment of a globally-integrated security practice known as the Enterprise & Cyber Security (ECS) business. The ECS will ensure Fujitsu has the latest technologies necessary to continue helping our enterprise customer to strengthen their resilience and response to cyberattacks. For more information, please visit:
