Juniors and Non-Graduates Can Also Participate in Recruitment Fairs as "Tianfu Talent Recruitment in 2019" Kicks off

CHENGDU, China, March 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — Companies in CDHT came to the Shahe Campus of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) to hold “Tianfu Talent Recruitment in 2019” a job fair on February 27.

A major innovation of the “Campus Tour” a part ofTianfu Talent Recruitment” since the beginning of this year is to capitalize on the development of “Emerging Engineering Education” of higher institutions and recruit junior interns. According to Hong Lei, Head of Student Affairs Office of School of Information and Software Engineering, UESTC, “The demand for talents in emerging engineering is very high. There are about 700 third-year students in the School of Information and Software Engineering this year, and nearly 300 of them have found internship positions through ‘Tianfu Talent Recruitment.’ In addition, nearly 200 graduating students have received job offers through ‘Tianfu Talent Recruitment.’

Helping students get hands-on experience in advance

According to a survey among the participating enterprises at “Tianfu Talent Recruitment,” the demand for campus recruitment has increased significantly, especially in emerging fields such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality and other popular majors of new engineering where full-fledged talents are scarce.

To ensure the supply of qualified talents, “Tianfu Talent Recruitment” has made an innovative adjustment to its “Campus Tour” by recruiting non-graduates of emerging engineering majors for the first time. The first batch of internship offers came from 31 companies, all of which are well-known local enterprises in Chengdu, such as Tencent Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., VeriSilicon Microelectronics (Chengdu) Co., Ltd, Sichuan XWBank, tap4fun, Chengdu Businessbigdata Tech.Corp., Ltd.

Hong Lei said that emerging engineering disciplines have a high requirement for hands-on practice. The combination of recruitment and internship by enterprises helps schools complete the transition from theory to practice, which is conducive to the cultivation of practical talents, and also a beneficial attempt to integrate businesses with the campus.

There is always a suitable job at “Tianfu Talent Recruitment”

“Tianfu Talent Recruitment” is a large-scale group recruitment tour organized by CDHT Management Committee and jointly undertaken by CDHT Party-masses Department and Chengdu Tianfu Software Park, involving “City Tour”, “Campus Tour” and “Overseas Tour.” It has carried out long-term domestic recruitment activities in Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Xi’an, Wuhan, Harbin and other cities, as well as overseas ones in North America, Europe and Asia, with overseas talent hunting stations set up in Silicon Valley (the US), Seoul (South Korea), Frankfurt (Germany), Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto (Canada), etc. Each year, over 100 such activities are organized, attracting more than 40,000 professional talents, and helping enterprises recruit over 5,000 talents of different categories.

The “Campus Tour” and “City Tour” of “Tianfu Talent Recruitment in 2019” will be carried out at the same time. Under the organization of Chengdu Tianfu Software Park, CDHT enterprises will successively carry out talents recruitment activities in more than ten famous universities in China including Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, University of Science and Technology of China, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Sichuan University, as well as in the four cities of Shenzhen, Chongqing, Shanghai and Beijing.
