Apttus Announces George Kadifa as Chairman of the Board

SAN MATEO, Calif., July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Apttus, the global Middle Office leader, today announced the appointment of George Kadifa as Chairman of the Board.  Mr. Kadifa has been on the Board of Directors of Apttus since 2016 and has three decades of operating experience in the technology sector.

Kirk Krappe, co-founder of Apttus, will be leaving the company effective July 2.  Apttus has also announced the creation of the Office of the CEO to lead the company, comprised of: Kent Perkocha, co-founder and Chief Customer Officer; Neehar Giri, co-founder, President and Chief Solutions Officer; and Raj Verma, Chief Operating Officer.

The search for the company’s next CEO has commenced under the direction of the Board of Directors.  The company will continue to execute on its previously announced strategic initiatives.

Mr. Kadifa was Executive Vice President at HP, reporting to the CEO and a member of its Executive Committee. He was responsible for leading growth initiatives and alliance programs with key partners, service providers and the largest customers. He previously served as Executive Vice President of HP Software. He led HP’s $4-billion software business that includes IT/Cloud Operations Management, Application Delivery Management, Enterprise Security, and HP Big Data.  He has held various leadership positions at technology and management consulting companies such as IBM, Corio Corporation (founder), Oracle, Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Xerox.

Pearson Hires New Head of Artificial Intelligence

NEW YORK, July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Pearson, the digital education company, today announced the appointment of Milena Marinova to lead artificial intelligence (AI) and personalized learning for the company. Milena joins Pearson in July as senior vice president, AI products and solutions from Intel Corporation, where she was Senior Director of AI Solutions.

Milena will be focused on exploring and applying existing and new technologies in artificial intelligence, machine learning, including deep and reinforcement learning, as well as data analytics and personalized learning into current and future products and services.
