AMAG Hosts Annual Security Engineering Symposium

Over 125 end-users, consultants and integrators were in attendance. Guests were treated to two days of interactive presentations, panels and discussions with thought leaders in business intelligence, data, insider threat, and open technologies.

AMAG Technology hosted its 20th annual Security Engineering Symposium in San Diego, February 21 -24, 2020.  Director of Business Development, Kami Dukes welcomed end-users, consultants, integrators and technology partners on Saturday morning. The weekend was filled with interactive and collaborative learning sessions.

AMAG Technology President, Howard Johnson, Director of Business Development, Kami Dukes and G4S CEO America’s, John Kenning opened the conference by welcoming attendees and introducing honored guests and AMAG staff. Dukes and AMAG Product Director, Jonathan Moore presented The Symmetry Vision, fireside-chat style, and discussed AMAG’s product vision and the future path of the Symmetry platform. A Platinum panel called Empowered Intel discussed interoperability, data, compliance, workflow, biometrics & authentication and video analytics, the six core topics surrounding the event. Two TED-style talks featured Protecting the Human Element with Johnson and Vice President Enterprise Systems, Stuart Tucker and On the Hunt with Business Development Manager, Dan Bissmeyer.

Keynote speaker and business futurist Patrick Schwerdtfeger wowed the crowd with thoughts on how Artificial Intelligence and exponential thinking are going to change the world in the next 10 years.

Beginning with the 2020 season, Second Spectrum will provide its proprietary, state-of-the art, optical tracking system for every MLS match.

Kindred SORT Robots Picked 10 Million Units in 2019 Peak Retail Season; Carter’s, Inc. Achieves Optimal Throughput per Hour, 99.5% Autonomous Pick Accuracy

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 26, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Kindred, an artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics company, released its piece-picking results from the 2019 holiday retail season today. The company reported that its AI-enabled SORT robots installed across its rapidly-growing customer base completed 2 million unique picks from orders placed during Black Friday through Cyber Monday.

The company attributes the growth in picks of more than 218% year-over-year in part to Carter’s Inc., North America’s largest branded marketer of children’s apparel, who used SORT robots during the 2019 peak fulfillment season for the first time.

Throughout peak season spanning Nov. 1, 2019, through Dec. 20, 2019, SORT systems achieved a total of 10 million picks.

Currently, in the off-season, Kindred SORT robots, installed at various customer sites across the U.S., pick over one million units each week. Carter’s uses eight SORT robots for picking operations year-round at its state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Atlanta.
