American Conservation Experience Welcomes Gail Adams and Trevor Pearson to Their Board of Directors

American Conservation Experience (ACE) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the ACE Board of Directors, Gail Adams and Trevor Pearson.

Gail Adams is the Vice President of Communications and External Affairs at the EnerGeo Alliance, an international upstream energy trade association. She has more than 20 years of experience in the environment and natural resources public policy arena and working with states and local governments. Additionally, Adams has over 30 years’ experience in public affairs, non-profit organizations, and governmental affairs and served as a Presidential Appointee as Director of the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs for the U.S. Department of the Interior. Adams is a former television news anchor, public affairs show host, radio personality, and is a graduate of Louisiana State University.

In this role I am looking forward to helping ACE reach its goal of increasing the diversity among its staff & members, and building new and innovative alliances with various organizations focused on preserving America's historic places and stories.”

Trevor Pearson is a senior associate director at APCO Worldwide and is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is a seasoned policy and communications professional specializing in energy, water, natural resources, and public lands. With a well-rounded resume that includes House, Senate, lobbying, and campaign experience, Mr. Pearson has played a leadership role in identifying, developing, and advancing major federal, state, and local policy solutions over the last decade. Mr. Pearson served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the U.S. Senate where he helped shepherd several landmark legislative priorities through Congress, including the Great American Outdoors Act and the Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan Authorization Act. He has also served as a legislative director in the U.S. House of Representatives, a principal energy lobbyist at Meguire Whitney, and as a research assistant at the National Academy of Sciences. Mr. Pearson received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a Master of Arts in Russian and Eurasian Studies with an emphasis in energy policy from the European University at Saint Petersburg, Russia. Trevor currently lives in Raleigh, NC but is an Arizona native and grew up near the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

Currently, the ACE board is steered by a team of dedicated professionals led by Board Chair, Shayne Miller. The Board members are thrilled to have added Gail and Trevor to the team and look forward to their help in guiding and leading ACE towards a sustainable future, supporting the mission, vision and continued growth of the organization.
